ALL ABOUT DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH AND THE OWNER

Committed to Inspiring Change

My name is Tyra Randle and I’m a paraplegic and domestic violence survivor. On January 15th 2020, my son's father shot me 8 times in my home. Since then, I have devoted my life to being an advocate and a philanthropist for domestic violence survivors and victims as well as the disabled community. I currently work with the Christopher Reeves Foundation on numerous projects and am now a blog writer for them. I’m a peer mentor for the United Spinal Cord Association. I'm also on the advisory committee for the United Spinal Cord Association. In Feb. 2023 I was selected to represent the Kansas City Spinal Cord Chapter in Washington DC in the event Roll on Capitol Hill where we will meet and talk with members of Congress about laws on disability. In 2022 I became an athlete with Disable but Not Really (DBNR). Since 2021 I've done numerous events with DBNR founder Wesley Hamilton. I also serve as an advisor on the hospital committee where I work at. Not only do I serve as an employee advisor but as a patient advisor as well. I’m currently a board member for Temple Made Foundation which is founded by Mizzou legend, Tony Temple. My goal with Diamond in the Rough is to aim and deliver education, inspiration, and hope to a variety of audiences that have experienced or who may be experiencing and to keep from experiencing domestic violence or someone who is disabled or knows someone that is.

Now, as a seasoned Motivational Speaker, with Diamond in the Rough, I plan to transform the lives of audiences and be an example of beating adversity. My talks, events, conferences, webinars, and podcasts are attended by people of all ages and backgrounds and inspired leaders from a variety of industries. With a strategic approach combined with an outside-the-box perspective, Diamond in the Rough will help you break through challenges to reach your goals.
